Di nuovo in Cile / Back in Chile

Sono di nuovo in Cile!
E' strano pensare che essere in Cile mi fa sentire cosi' tanto "a casa".
Ho passato la mia prima settimana ad imparare le procedure di ESO e... a cercar casa!
Adesso ho trovato casa (a presto anche qualche foto) e... sono gia' a La Silla!
La prima notte e' passata tranquilla. Ho iniziato tenendomi ad una distanza "reverenziale" dalla console del telescopio a cui sono stato assegnato (cioe' la scrivania da cui si controlla il telescopio... il telescopio e' l'NTT - New Technology Telescope - un giocattolone che, all'inizio degli anni '90 era il telescopio piu' moderno del mondo!) e poi mi sono piano piano iniziato ad avvicinare... fino a condurre un paio di osservazioni! Chissa' se per la fine della settimana mi sentiro' anche in grado di fare delle osservazioni "da solo".

I am back in Chile!
It's strange that being in Chile makes me feel so much "at home".
I've spent my first week learning the ESO procedures and... looking for an apartment!
Now I've found a place (soon a few pictures!) and... I am already in La Silla!
The first night was all right. I've started staying at a "respectful" distance from the telescope's console (i.e. the desk from which we control the telescope... the telescope is NTT - New Technology Telescope - a toy which was the most modern telescope of the world at the beginning of the '90s!) and then I started to get closer and closer... until I made a couple of observations myself! Maybe at the end of the week I'll feel like making observations completely "on my own".
