il mostro e' nato / the monster is born

Tre milioni di italiani hanno eletto il segretario del Partito Democratico.
Il Partito Democratico nasce dall'unione dei residui del Partito Comunista e della Democrazia Cristiana. Un mostro annunciato. I dirigenti di questo partito hanno gia' l'eta' sufficiente per andare in pensione: ci andassero!
Questo "nuovo partito" e' presentato come un partito piu' vicino agli elettori dei partiti "tradizionali". Non ci credo.
Come possiamo credere che sia "nuovo" un leader che e' gia' stato vice-presidente del Consiglio? Non scherziamo, cambiamo pagina sul serio, tre milioni di persone, invece di mettere la croce su Veltroni, dovevano andare a vedere i Simpson!

Three million Italian people have elected the secretary (i.e. the leader) of the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party is born from the union of the residuals of the Communist Party and the Cristian-Democrats. A known monster. The leaders of this party have already the age for retiring: they may do it!
This "new party" is presented as a party which is closer to the electors than the "traditional" ones. I don't believe it.
How can we believe that a leader, who has already been vice-prime minister, is new? Don't make jokes, let's change seriously, three million people, instead of putting a cross on Veltroni, could have watched the Simpsons on tv.
