primo articolo accettato! / first paper accepted!

Ebbene si', il mio primo articolo come primo autore (in verita' anche il primo articolo "vero" in assoluto) e' stato accettato oggi!
Mi sento... come se mi avessero dato un sacco di botte. Sono stanco e un po' triste. Non ho idea del motivo. Dovrei essere felice e soddisfatto, invece no.

Dopo due anni di lavoro e a due mesi dalla spedizione al giornale (Astronomy & Astrophysics), il mio articolo su nova Sgr 2004 e' stato accettato per la pubblicazione.
Due anni per un articolo che non cambiera' la storia dell'astronomia (anzi) e su un oggetto tutto sommato "normale" sono oggettivamente troppi. Oggi la prendo come una liberazione.

Spero che il prossimo articolo arrivi piu' rapidamente!

Well, yes, my first article as first author (actually also my first "real" article at all) has been accepted today!
I feel... like if I had been beaten. I am tired and a bit sad. I have no idea why. I should be happy and satisfied, but I am not.

After two years of work and two months after sending it to the journal (Astronomy & Astrophysics), my article about Nova Sgr 2004 has been accepted for publication.
Two years for an article which will not change the history of astronomy (on the contrary) and about an overall "normal" object are clearly too many. I take today as a liberation.

Hope the next one will be faster!
(I know, it depends on me)
